When the Creek Starts Copying Monsters
When the Creek Starts Copying Monsters
Something is wrong in Briar Hollow, Texas. The water in Old Briar Creek has begun flowing backward, and the animals near it are appearing in pairs. At first it seems like a strange trick of nature. But the truth is far darker. Identical raccoons fight each other. Foxes appear twice. Creatures crawl from the creek as if the water itself is making copies of life. The quiet town is beginning to realize the creek is not just water anymore—it is a doorway.
In The Double in the Creek, Rowan and Maeve try to uncover the mystery before the town is destroyed. Their search leads them to the Briar Hollow Museum of the Unseen, a gothic building standing above a massive underground void. As the cracks beneath the town grow wider, reality itself begins to bend. Reflections move on their own. The sky shows strange mirrored arcs. And something ancient is waking beneath the earth.
The worst discovery is that the duplication is spreading. Animals were only the beginning. Soon the creek may begin copying people. When a terrifying force called The Harvester starts using human bodies to expand the fracture, Rowan and Maeve must decide how far they are willing to go to stop it.
Because if the creek keeps copying the world…
there may soon be two versions of everything.
